We want to remove as many barriers as possible from anyone thinking of coming to our pool sessions. For this reason we have made the first session FREE!
They are not 'elite' or 'only for the pros', they are for everyone! Provided you can swim a couple of lengths of front crawl, you'll be fine! All lanes are seeded so you'll be with others of a similar ability.
Now is a great time to start to improve your stroke as there will be lots of newbies just like you! Give it a go. What have you got to lose?

As long as you can swim a length of front crawl you will be just fine, we will look after you from there! (if you are not sure then contact us). You can choose to join one or more of the squads, either way you will have a balanced training cycle. Swimmers will be grouped into lanes of similar ability from novices and improvers, right up to stronger, more advanced level swimmers.
This is not a club and is not designed to replaceany existing local clubs or club sessions. Our swim squads are for those who wish to improve or supplement their existing level of training. Having said that, being a member of a limited-numbers squad will make you feel part of a team and with that will come motivation andcamaraderie. The main difference between our squads and local club sessions is that they are front crawl focussed purely for triathletes and open water swimmers. They are strictly limited in size to maintain the coach to athlete ratio and are run using the World renowned Swim Smooth methodology.

Swim at Compton Verney after dark in a magical atmosphere of lights, reflections, fairy lights and calm open water.
This is not a swim for smashing out fast laps. This is about slowing down, taking in the sights, enjoying the calm, and experiencing the lake in a completely different way.
Venue:
Compton Verney, Warwickshire, CV35 9HZ
Style:
Relaxed, atmospheric open water swimming after dark.
Best for:
Confident open water swimmers, triathletes and anyone wanting a memorable swimming experience.
Bring:
Wetsuit, bright/light coloured swim hat, tow float, warm clothes and waterproof lights if you have them.
Booking:
All swimmers must pre-book before attending.
You will get ready in the magical surroundings of the Capability Brown designed grounds of Compton Verney House, then follow the lights to the check-in area beside the lake. From there, you will prepare in the glow of the fairy lights before heading into the water.
This is about enjoying the lights, sounds, reflections and calm of swimming somewhere unusual after dark.
Breaststroke is brilliant for taking in the sights, but you can swim how you like and at whatever pace suits you.
Every swimmer will be issued with a light for their hat. Waterproof lights and lights inside tow floats look fantastic.
Safety kayaks, extra spotters and bright course markers help make the swim feel clear, controlled and well managed.
A relaxed swim in one of Warwickshire’s most atmospheric open water venues.
The emphasis on this swim is enjoying the atmosphere rather than chasing pace. It is the kind of swim where you look around, notice the lights, listen to the sounds of the lake and enjoy being somewhere most people never get to experience after dark.
Swimmers can stay in the water for up to 45 minutes before getting out and enjoying the spectacle from lakeside.
All swimmers will be issued with a light to go inside their swim hat. Thin, light-coloured hats work best for this swim. We also encourage swimmers to bring their own waterproof lights if they have them.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes are usually available from T&B Cakes after your swim.
Bring warm post-swim clothing so you can relax lakeside afterwards.
Choose your session and book in advance. Swimmers cannot attend without booking.
Bring your swim kit, warm clothes, bright/light hat, tow float and any extra waterproof lights.
Follow the lights to the lakeside check-in area, listen to the briefing and prepare for your swim.
Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, then warm up and relax lakeside afterwards.
To help swimmers feel safe in the dark world, there will be safety kayaks and extra spotters around the course. These will also be lit up, adding to the spectacle as well as helping visibility.
Turn buoys will be bright and easy to see, so the course remains clear and simple to follow.
This is an open water swim after dark, so swimmers should be comfortable in open water and able to swim confidently.
It is not designed as a first-ever open water swim. If you are unsure whether it is right for you, please contact us before booking.
Please bring warm clothing for afterwards. Getting warm again after a night swim matters.
Spaces are limited, and these swims are always memorable. Click below to view available dates and book your place.
