Everything you need to know about the Do3 Smart Training Pathway and finding your perfect plan.

The Smart Training Pathway calculates how many weeks you have until race day and matches you with the most suitable Do3 plan. It ensures your base, build, and peak phases align perfectly, so you arrive at race day prepared and confident.

The system measures the time between your start date and your race, adjusting to begin on a Monday for consistency. It then recommends the plan that fits your timeline, plus spare weeks that can be filled with Do3 Commit ? training, if you wish.

Do3 Commit ? bridges the gap before your main plan starts. It helps you build a good training routine, keeps you consistent, builds base fitness, and prevents the “lost weeks” that often derail athletes before their race plan begins.

Usually, yes. If you need to adjust the race date that your plan is tailored to, you will need to email us to request the adjustment and add any extension weeks you need.

Spare weeks before your structured race plan are perfect for Do3 Commit ?. It provides guided training to build fitness and consistency before your progressive race plan begins.

If your race date is too soon for a full plan, we’ll highlight that and guide you toward a shorter or personalised option. Shortened plans are only recommended for those who already have a good level of fitness and are used to regular training, as ramping up volume too quickly can result in injury. You can also book a call to discuss a tailored strategy with a coach.

No. If you’re new to triathlon or building back from a break, start with Couch2Tri, or the foundation level plans. Benchmarking sessions at the start of each plan ensure that training is pitched at the right level for you. The benchmarking is then repeated periodically to ensure your training levels adapt as you progress. If you like, you can also add a few weeks of Commit ? before a race distance plan, to ease into a training routine gradually.

The plans are designed for self-guided athletes with community support through the Do3 Hub and Facebook group. For accountability or feedback, you can upgrade anytime to 1-to-1 coaching with regular coach check-ins.
