Do3 triathlon squad race in to a new season of events

Do3, the Midlands based triathlon squad, marked the start of the race season with athletes competing at events across the UK.

Corinne Moss, raced at the Anglian Water Standard Duathlon made up of a 10km run, 40km bike and 5km run through the Cambridgeshire countryside in freezing, foggy conditions.

Corinne won her age group category and was the 5th female over the line in a time of 2hrs 15. Her success at the event has secured her qualification at 2018’s World Duathlon Championships and also 2019’s European Duathlon Championships. Claire Jackson also competed in the Anglian Water Standard Duathlon and achieved a course personal best.

John Wrottesley, from Moreton Morrell, represented Do3 in the Eton Dorney Winter Duathlon and came 25th overall with a time of 2hours 13 at standard distance.  He was followed by Andrew White who finished in 2hr 18.

Corinne Moss, winner of Stratford District Council’s 2018 Senior Sports Person Award said, ‘It’s already been quite a start to the season for me personally and having successfully secured my space at 2018’s World Duathlon Championships and for 2019’s European Duathlon Championships I am utterly delighted. My squad mates also pulled in some stunning races this weekend and there is plenty more to come from Do3 as we move towards warmer weather, open water swims and full triathlon competitions. My thanks of course go to my coach Dave Knight for getting me race ready and to my sponsors; Cycle Studio, Everyone Active and Shire Physio who help me so graciously.’

Do3 squad is coached and managed by Dave Knight, one of the UK’s leading triathlon coaches and recently recognised as Coach of the Year at Stratford District Council Sport Awards. The squad is made up of over 200 Midlands based athletes; from triathlon enthusiasts and age group competitors to professional athletes.
