Do3 Perform is our specialist athlete testing, analysis and consultation suite. Situated in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside we are within a few miles from junction 12 of the M40 and between the towns of Banbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington and Warwick.
Working in conjunction with specialist partners, Do3 Perform is a place where we can take a much closer look at athletes and understand their strengths, weaknesses, goals and targets and what is needed to help them step up to and perform at the next level.
Our performance suite features the specialist equipment needed to conduct a whole range of tests and analysis. We also feature a comfortable athlete consultation area for pre and post testing discussions. Do3 Perform services can be booked individually or you may wish to consider one of our packages to allow access to a multitude of ongoing testing, treatment, rehab and maintenance services.
How do you perform?
Vo2 MAX Testing
Vo2 max, or maximal oxygen consumption, refers to the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can use during intense or maximal exercise. This measurement is generally considered the best indicator of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. In simple terms, the more oxygen a person can utilise during high level exercise, the more energy they can produce. This usually equates to a better, faster performance. This test is the gold standard for determining cardiorespiratory fitness because the muscles need oxygen for prolonged exercise, and the heart must pump adequate amounts of blood through the circulation to meet these demands.

Blood Lactate Testing
Blood lactate is a bio-marker that shows the level of metabolic stress you experience during exercise. Blood lactate analysis gives an insight into your anaerobic transition point and can provide you with a scientific basis for setting your race and training zones based on your individual physiology. Using the test data, we can then identify training and racing intensities specific to you. After full test analysis, you will receive a full report with recommendations on how to use the data to support your training and race pacing.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing
The Resting Metabolic Rate test determines the amount of energy (calories) your body is using at rest. Almost all of the energy your body produces is created through aerobic (oxygen utilising) metabolism. The oxygen is combined with carbohydrates and fats to make energy in your body’s tissues. This energy is used to keep your organs and tissues working properly.
For individuals wanting to know their exact daily caloric needs and physiological characteristics in order to fuel performance and informed fat loss.
Body Composition Analysis
Knowing what your body is made of is vital information for anyone looking to improve their performance and well-being. Whether that be for general health or for those looking to take their training to another level. Using our InBody Body Composition Analyser we are able to quickly analyse key metrics such as weight, muscle mass, fat and a multitude of other important information (click the link below for full details). Once the test is complete we will provide you with a full report and spend time with you explaining the results and what you can do to improve.

Swim Analysis and Stroke Correction (Swim Smooth certified)
We offer a detailed swim analysis and stroke correction service where we can look at your stroke from all angles in high definition before taking you through the drills you should do to improve any issues identified. This really is the gold standard in stroke correction and perfect for anyone who is serious about improving their front crawl. VASA Swim Training and Technique Development
Using our amazing VASA ergometer swimming machine we can spend time with you working on your front crawl and look to take your swimming to that next level. Swimming out of the water allows us to tune up your movement patterns which you can then take back to the water. The unique design of the machine means we can measure your stroke power and add/remove resistance to help increase strength, speed and stamina.
Swimmers and triathletes looking to improve their technique and swim fitness. Technique review sessions and training sessions on the VASA are available.
Bike Fitting (basic)
If you are new to cycling it is important to make sure your bike is set up so that you can get the most out of it. Ill fitting bikes will reduce your cycling efficiency, make it uncomfortable and reduce your enjoyment. During this session we will look at the basics such as setting the correct saddle height, handlebar height, reach and more. We see so many cyclists out riding on poorly set-up bikes when there really is no need. A quick bike check would have them going faster and feeling more comfortable in no time! *This is not a full performance level bike fit. If you are looking for this level of attention we can put you in touch with some partners who can provide this service.
Cyclists and triathletes who have never had a bike fit before or want their current fit checking over, but don't feel the need (or want to pay the expense) of booking a full performance level professional bike fit.

Running Performance Review with Gait Analysis
Starting with a full body assessment we look at your flexibility, balance and strength through key areas involved in running. Followed by a full head to toe gait analysis to see how you function in real time. We will then assess and break down the key points with you and leave you with a bespoke plan to improve your running economy and performance.
Run Performance Progression
Once we have conducted an initial review we work with you over individual sessions at recommended intervals refining your technique. These are individual sessions set out based on your ability and performance review, and developed at your discretion.
Performance Management Service
Providing sports medical knowledge you would normally only find in elite sports environments we provide a bespoke service that helps to review your readiness to train and race. With insight to major causes of over training and chronic injury causes such as stress fractures we help you negate the risk of over reaching with your training and can help liaise with coaches about your potential injuries and considerations for training modifications before injury occurs.
Endurance athletes strength and conditioning
Understanding athletes commitment to their sport, we provide bespoke strength and conditioning plans that enhance your performance in your chosen area without undermining training or competition. We assess each athlete and provide bespoke programs building your strength and more importantly endurance in muscles that will improve the economy of your movement.
Testing and Coaching Packages
The best way to improve is to ensure you have ongoing contact with a coach. This relationship is hugely valuable as it helps to ensure you are getting the most out of the time you are spending training. This combined with regular testing and feedback meetings really makes sure that training is 'dialled in' to what you need. Train, test, adjust, train, test, adjust!
